Is there a way to force Lansweeper to automatically poll all PC's weekly or biweekly? This would allow it to pick up any changes to hardware, new pc's, etc.

Thanks in advance.

My last poll was done on 6/19/09.

Could you post your action for lstrigger from the action configuration please.
Could be that you forgot to change the server name.

Which version of lansweeper are you using the latest version (3.5.1) should show an error like "file not found" or something similar.

Yes, Error was couldnt log into database.

I checked the credentials and tested the connection and it should be fine now. Let's see if it runs scans based on the "item wait time"

However, if I open web console and try and trigger scan on any computers in my domain it asks for confirmation but then does nothing. I have already set to enable the Internet settings "Initialize and script activeX controls..."

Another action VNC doesnt work either but no errors messages or popups.

Please help getting this software up and running so that I can use it. I like what it has to offer if I can get it working.

Thanks

Are there any errors in the errorlog.txt file?

Use the Lansweeper Configuration Utility, Scan Options to your hearts desire.
The "Item Wait Time" list shows how often different components are scanned. and can be modified based on what you want to scan.
You can also use the "Scheduled Scanning" section to make it more unique to certain computers.

If you are looking to fire the scan off at a certain time, you can create a scheduled task to run on each PC and have them run the LSCLIENT executable.
Or you can be a bit creative and use PSEXEC to fire off the LSCLIENT on each PC from a central server

Thanks.

I do have the premium version and active scanning check box is checked for enabled.

How do I control how often it scans for updates to PC's, new addition to domain? Last scan was on June 19, 2009.

Thanks

Please take a look if your service is still running.
Errors should be in the errorlog.txt file.

In the premium version this is done with active scanning.
