You are probably running the testconnection.exe from a network drive?
Try copying it to your local drive and check your dotnet framework configuration settings before running.
Which is also a clue why your server application might not be running.
Try running the dotnet configuration tool (should be somewhere in your start menu) and set the settings to default.

if i run the connection test the following error appear on XP
Lansweeper connection test
Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission, contact your system administrator, or use the Microsoft.net framework configuration tool/
If you click continue, the application will ingnore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediatly.
That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers.
it's not working at all.
Any suggestions?
if i run lsclient 10.10.10.10 it says success, but i still have the problem where if i open the lansweeper console go to the pcname click on hardware and then system product it's not showing anything.

Download the connectiontest and see if you can connect to the computers.
On vista the remote registry service is disabled by default, set it on automatic
