It says on the LS website that one server can scan over 20k clients.

We currently have the premium version with one server scanning approx 2500 clients--we are looking to upgrade to enterprise and scan approx 45k clients.

My question is what type of hardware configuration should we be considering if we want to minimize the # of scanning servers? Based on the above statement from the website, 2 scanning servers should be sufficient? Can one of these also serve as the webserver, or should that be offloaded to a third server? The preference would be to have these servers virtualized.

The SQL 2k8 db would be housed on its own server. How big could we expect the db to be without collecting event logs or individual file scanning?

thanks in advance
