I have received notification of a new version today for V4.x after upgrading just over a week ago to version 4.0. I have created a backup and proceeded with the upgrade of Lansweeper by running to the setup.exe, part way through the set-up process I receive the following error.

C:\program files\lansweeper\Actions\RemoteUninst.exe
An error occured while trying to copy a file:
the source file is corrupted.

I have ignored the error but then continue to receive the same issue with other files\executables. Unfortunately the lansweeper service fails to start which is causing me huge issues.

Please advise

Run the setup again, select "new installation" and select only the service.

I have downloaded the upgrade once again after clearing my browser cache and this appeared to install. When trying to start the LANSweeper Service I'm getting the following error.

Could not start the LanSweeper Server service on Local Computer.
Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Could you try redownloading the setup please after clearing your browser cache.

i cant seem to find any errorlog.txt file under c:\temp or c:\ program files\lansweeper

it's in the lansweeper folder and while the installer is running it's in the %temp% folder
