Hi
Thanks for lansweeper - its really a fantastic product.
I had a few teething problems, but in the end its up and running on our network of 50 users, just waiting for them to login so i can get all the info...
We are currently looking at various intranet applications and it seems to me that the lansweeper web console's user database provides all we need for our personnel database (as long as we keep active directory users info up to date). I really dislike re-inventing the wheel, so.... is there an easy way to either:
a) apply AD authentication to the web console to show only certain data (user info) - whereby all users get to see the user database but only admins get all the other cool stuff?
b) create a second instance of web console in a seperate virtual dir, with all features except user stuff disabled?
thanks again for a great product!
until now i have been using Everest, and getting frustrated by its complex db integration and reporting, not to mention lack of domain overview - not user-friendly.
