Hello,
I've just discovered this product via a Google search and it looks great! I'm just wondering if it is appropriate for what I need: I have many servers that I want to inventory - mostly spec.s like CPU, memory and HDD space. So these machine's don't really have anyone logging on very often. It appears for Lansweeper that in order to inventory a machine the LSclient app runs at user logon. So my first question: can I just run around to all my servers, logon and manually run the client? Second question: I assume this grabs a "as of right now" inventory of the system but won't keep updating info once I log off (is that right?), so how can I keep curent info? Would I need to run around to all servers, logon and rerun the client everytime I wanted to update info?
thanks,
tim

A solution would be to use the scheduled scanning for your servers.

After poking around a bit, maybe I can answer my own question. It looks like LsTrigger in the premium package does this... correct? And I assume I can setup a batch file to run against all servers? And I further assume that the LsTrigger.exe only needs to be on the machine I am executing it from, not the target system - nothing needs to reside there... correct?
It also looks like I get alot more canned reports with that premium package. Seems reasonable to me. Great product!
thanks,
Tim
