When I view the source I assume that this will be the offending code.

Looking further into the issue i see that the server is being picked up with a IPV6 address.
Does the server also have an IP4 address?
Yes it does, in fact most of our 2008 servers all have IPV6 and our win7 clients too.
I even disabled IPV6 and then removed the computer from lsmanage.exe and then ran lsclient and same results.
Is this the scanner server itself or another server?
The server causing the issue is a test server that we have and not the scanner server.

Do you use lsclient with the /scanonip option?

Problem confirmed, it is caused by no service pack applied on the server.
Let's see if we can fix this.

Most likely the WMI is corrupt on these machines, you can try to repair it.
ODYSSEYWEB OS Invalid query
Could you post the output of WIN32_operatingsystem for this computer using WMIC please.
