Problems accessing the GUIConsole

Hi,

I have installed the Lansweeper following the instructions and the web console appears to work correctly and have managed to install a client no problems.

However, I cannot access the GUIConsole - it comes up with a Network Handshake error - [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (PreLoginHandshake()).General network error. Check your network documentation.

I have looked at the error log and there is nothing stated there - any ideas?

Take a look at your lansweeperservice.exe.config file, this contains the needed information

Should be something like this

Server : 127.0.0.1\sqlexpress
user : lssqluser32
pwd : mysecretpassword*-

Yes - I can get the console login box however I am unsure as to the information I need to put in.

The server should be the Server\SQL Instance I believe? i.e. \\127.0.0.1\TEST
The database name should be lansweeper32? This is default, and I have not changed this.

Username Password - I am assuming these are the sa credentials for the SQL instance? I put these in and get the error message I stated - very confused!

When you start the GUIconsole you need to fill in your database, username, password.
Are you able to see this screen?
Did you fill in the correct information?
