Engaged Sweeper
Hello everyone,
when Lansweeper tries to scan a Windows XP SP2 client, the following error message appears in the file errorlog.txt:
(AUTORUN) computername The RPC-Server is not available.
The message appears for most of the scanitems, but the items REGISTRY, IEBHO, IEBARS, IEEXT, IEACTIVEX, LOGON and SOFTWARE are working.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Ernst

REGISTRY, IEBHO, IEBARS, IEEXT, IEACTIVEX depend on remote registry, everything else on WMI.

The problem is most likely that your SP2 firewall is enabled.
You should allow remote management to your SP2 machines. You can do this using Group policies.
Computer configuration/administrative templates/network/network connections/windows firewall/Domain profile :
Windows Firewall: Allow remote administration exception

To do a small test you can disable your firewall in SP2
