Engaged Sweeper
Hi,

I'm just testing this program but I have a question...

I installed the lansweeper on my laptop (not on a server). How can I scan other devices on the network?
I've tried to find them with "connectiontester" and he can find the devices. But when I open the webconsole, and enter the PCname in the "computer search" he can't find anything.
The only thing displayed are data from my laptop.

Is it usefull to install this program on a server? I don't want to overload the server with a test.

How can I connect AD with lansweeper on my laptop?

(it's a free version that I installed) Do I have to activate on every PC the client.exe?

copy the LsClient.exe to your "%logonserver%\NETLOGON" folder.

Add the following line in your logon.bat ;
%logonserver%\netlogon\lsclient.exe <lansweeper servername>

If you want to run this whithout logoff then you have to open start --> run --> <fill in line above>

In the free version you will need lsclient.exe (see the documentation)
Easiest is to run this in a loginscript.
