Remote control from action menu

When I click on remote control in the action menu it brings up lsremote.exe and the computer I am trying to connect to. I click ok and I get the message saying "can not ping to host" and I definitely can ping it. What am I doing wrong? I am using Vista Business and trying to connect to a XP Pro machine.

I have this same problem. Blank screen images on remote Vista machines...fine on W2K / XP.

Yes I can not take a screengrab of any remote vista machine it comes up as a blank white page. From my host vista machine I can take a screengrab of any other OS XP, 2000, 2003 server.

Do you have the screengrab problem on all vista machines?

The new lsremote.exe Works perfect!!! The screen shot to a vista machine still only shows a blank white page but I can live with that.

now that you mention it, if I take a remopte screen shot of a Vista machine it comes back as a blank white picture. All other OS, Windows XP and 2000, works great.

Again just to clarify, I get the message "cannot ping host" when I try to connect FROM my Vista Business to any other machine on the network, Vista, XP 2000. If I use a windows XP machine and run lsremote.exe it works just fine.

I have finally reproduced the error:
Connection from XP works fine everywhere.
Connection to almost all of my vista machines work, except for some.
I will try to debug the vista machines.

Is the remote screenshot working fine on all your machines?

There is not a service running on the vista machine. It has the viewer installed only not the host. I did uninstall it, rebooted and still have the same issue.
