I have a problem, where a laptop hostname has been changed and appears fine on the digital dashbaord with it's new name. But the old name also appears in red.
I have removed it from the Mangement console but it keeps reappearing.
If you are sure that it is deleted from all the tables then some workstation must still report the name. You can check in the logon table which IP address.
Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?
I have removed the hostname from our DNS and DHCP locally so there is no chance a machine with this name can gain access to the system. The machine with the old hostname has been completely recreated and given a new name.
