Sometimes when i am building a report using the GUI rather than enter the script myself. I'll be going through and checking my results as i add each condition. Occasionaly i'll enter in a condition and it will make my results come up blank....but the odd thing is that if i save it..i can go out and check it in the report output tab and it will have the correct results.

This threw me off for the longest time, but then i realized on accident that i was actualy doing it right...it just wasn't show the result in the report editor.

Am i doing something wrong or is it just a bugg/ glitch.

I've managed to work around it by saving the report and checking the reports in the output tab rather than in the editor's result tab

thank you

The report builder uses a third party component (which has the bugs).
After months of waiting for fixes we decided to switch to another component, so you should expect a new beta in a couple of weeks.

I have had this too but it never bothered me.

I just switch tabs, from Builder to SQL for example, then hit the results button. I think then you make a change the builder needs you to do something else before it sees it.

That usually works, but i've had at least two instances where the only thing that would make it work was to do as i describe earlier. Even exiting Report Builder Completely and going back in, edit the report in question, hit results, and it i will still be blank. Even though the Report output had data in it form the exact same report
