We were troubleshooting a scanning issue and had the following ideas for enhancements -
1) Add a starting date/time to the scanned asset in the queue. This could also be highlighted if a scan runs longer than a typical scan should. (This was the issue we were troubleshooting.)
2) A cancel scan option for a given asset currently being scanned without having to clear the entire queue would be helpful in certain situations.
3) Create a reserve queue or a higher priority queue for manual scans. Our support technicians may sometimes need to re-scan a PC after making a change. If they happen to be working during a scheduled scan, a significant amount of time could pass before the manual scan is completed, so the verification of their work is delayed.
Background : We recognized that the same pair of devices with multiple redundant interfaces was being scanned on each IP interface and was causing significant delays. We've excluded IP addresses to correct this issue from recurring, but a highlight or flag in the queue would have sped up our troubleshooting. Similarly, the delete option for a single scan target would be helpful without having to clear the entire queue.
