Serial numbers of devices maintained between scans?

Are the serial numbers of the discovered devices maintained after a rescan? We filled up manually the serial number field of many devices (switch, NAS, tape libraries, etc) only to find them blank apparently after a rescan.

Either that, or the recent update to version 4.1.0.11 cleared those values in the database update process. We would like to know if these fields are reliable and maintained between scans, otherwise we will have to find a different solution.

Bug confirmed, will be fixed in the next update. (or you can mail us for a test version)
