I have enabled Active scanning.Lansweeper configuration utility shows all the computers in domain but some are shown in red(details missing).when I checked the webconsole it shows

RPC server unavilable(understood it is due to firewall issues.Made the windows firewall off on the client)
WMI(enabled WMI)
edited local computer policy to enable Remote Administration Exception

These steps have worked for some but not for all.

Regards,
Tony

I'm still having issues with it taking forever to scan through the systems, even those with no apparent RPC problems

WHat exactly do you mean by "it takes forever to work through these workstations"?

(I've deleted the other duplicate post)

You can check the windows firewall by manually trying to telnet to the hostname port 135.

If the policies fail to apply you can force them by running "gpupdate /force"

Another cause can be a wrongly configured dns.
Where the hostname points to a wrong IP address.

I'm having roughly the same problem.

After getting the GPO up and running, about 45% of my machines report RPC problems.

29 workstations complete, 85 incomplete. The incompletes have a lot of info, and can be remote accessed, (even the ones with bad RPC), but it seems to be taking Forever to work through the system.

All have WMI enabled.

Ideas?
