sql express erro.r

ran upgrade to 4.1

when attempting to adjust permissions in configurator I get the following error

Was the box renamed after the installation of sql express?

sql express is on the same box and the box was not renamed since the installation of 4.0..

Was this machine (the one with SQL express on) renamed at any point?

Renaming the sql server or cloning from a non-sysprepped image can cause this problem.
