We have been evaluating Lansweeper and it worked just fine at start. 279 computers without WMI access error and all were fine. Last month we upgraded to SP3 (+security updates) and now I have 279 WMI access denied -computers. None of the GP security settings were modified since LS worked fine.
There are lot of instructions about WMI issues on net and I've been trying all the hints I have found. No luck...
Connection tester says:
Remote WMI access test FAILED
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
WBEM log says:
(Wed Sep 17 16:45:17 2008.2840406) : Impersonation failed - Access denied
(Wed Sep 17 16:47:23 2008.2966328) : WDM call returned error: 4200
Been trying different Impersonation settings, and... and...
Thanks,
Axel.

Try manually adding the account running the lansweeper service to the local administrators group of the client.

First question: yes
Second: yes, and in deed it reports of permission error. (of course it reports of permission errors). I've been trying to fix them by wmi management tools but all of them remains. Just that I should find a way to fix this by a script - it is impossible that I could put my Adidas on and run all the workstations thru...
