It is not practical to make everyone an admin on thier machines so how can we get past WMI Access Denied error?
This is actually even happening on a few users who are admin but most are not.
FWIW I installed this on my machine using XP and IIS. Web part works fine, SQL works fine but I am the only one that can get it to work, the seven others all show WMI Access Denied..

Ran WMI Diag and it works fine, however LSClient wont and it returns a WMI Access Denied error. The Web Console has some info on the user and machine name but no software/hardware inventory.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Normally the installer should warn you when you enter a user that is not a domain administrator.
Was this the case?

Yes, that was it, I used my Domain account that is only an adminstrator on my machine. I had a real domain admin start the service with his credentials and it works great.

Thank you.

Your service needs to run as a user with "domain admin" credentials.
