I have one stubborn workstation that always shows up with a
hostname CNF:42c4
(on version 4.1)
previously it was
hostname CNF:42c4xxxxxxxxxx
much longer string on (4.0)
i thought the upgrade would correct it magically. it didn't.
any ideas? i have 2500 machines (servers/workstations) scanned via active AD scanning, and this is the only issue.
I have deleted the workstation and had it reappear the same way.
DNS is correct, PTR is correct.
It must dirty entry in Active Directory?
