Engaged Sweeper II
We recently updated all of our Laptops running Windows 8.1 Enterprise to Windows 10 Enterprise. It has been a few weeks since this update was performed. Lansweeper does not seem to notice the upgrade. It shows a last scanned date of a day ago, but still shows Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Scanning credentials are correct and information seems to update from other aspects. such as AD Description. but not the OS after the upgrade. is there something that needs to be done for Lansweeper to check the OS level on scans?

If your "last tried" date is listed in red, then yes, the last scan attempt failed. The "last seen" date is the date/time of the last successful scan, the "last tried" date is the date/time of the last scan attempt. If the scan failed, there should be an Errors tab on the computer webpage with details on the scanning error. A troubleshooting guide for scanning errors can be found here.

I have double checked the item interval and it is set for a daily scan at midnight. I have also tried to click on the Rescan button and each asset comes back with no changes. I have noticed that the "Last Tried" date shows up in red on all assets. the date of the 'last tried' is always within 24 hours. Does that mean that the scan was tried and failed?

How often specific Windows computer data is scanned depends on your item intervals, a feature documented here. The default interval for OS information is 3 days, but someone may have changed your configuration. To have OS information updated, either change your intervals or click the Assets link at the top of the web console, tick the checkboxes in front of the problem client machines and hit the Rescan button on the left. The Rescan buttons ignore item intervals and rescan all Windows computer data.
