Engaged Sweeper
When Lansweeper is scanning assets, it does not get the information for the Model Number correct. My example is with a Cisco Switch. We were having a problem with a particular switch model, Cisco Catalyst 3560. I was able to see all of the 3560s. However, one of the devices which was found was a 3560X and not just a 3560. This lead to the wrong OS being loaded onto the switch. Is there a way to have Lansweeper pull the entire model (ie. WS-C3560X-24P-L instead of 3560)?

In regards to your question: the model of SNMP enabled devices is determined by your asset mapping configuration under Configuration\Website Management\Asset Mapping. Modify the model setting of the relevant OID to have all assets with the specified OID identified as the model of your choice. Alternatively, you can manually override the model information of individual assets, e.g. by hitting the Edit Asset button on asset pages.
