I have a single file placed on all the workstations via GPO - TeamViewer QuickSupport

The Custom File Scan is set to C:\Users\Public\Downloads\QuickSupport.exe

I checked my test computer to make sure the file and path were present and correct; and then manually ran an asset scan on that one machine. Lansweeper doesnt see the file.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: The custom file scan has the default file information for FireFox and IE as well, which are BOTH installed on the pc as well, and they dont appear in the custom file scan results either.

I figured it out!

Under Configuration > Item Wait Times..

Scanned Item: FILES has to be enabled.

Just an FYI for everyone: this knowledge base article provides detailed instructions for setting up file scanning and also mentions the item wait time requirement. (File scanning should be enabled by default though.)
