Lansweeper obtains monitor information by scanning the connected asset. If this information isn't stored correctly on the machine, Lansweeper may retrieve it incorrectly.
You can verify the stored information using these commands:
- Get-WmiObject -Query "Select * FROM WMIMonitorID" -Namespace root\wmi
- Get-WmiObject -Query "Select * FROM Win32_PnPEntity where PNPdeviceid like 'DISPLAY
Consider using our Extended Display Scanning feature. Note that monitors are not typically counted as assets unless you enable this feature; see the following article for details:
