We use Topdesk to keep track of our Windows computers.
We want to use the asset names from Topdesk in Lansweeper too.
If we change the asset names in Lansweeper, they're automatically overwritten after an automatic local scan.
In Lansweeper Cloud, we have the option to lock the asset name so that it is not changed after a scan. If we check this option, we get duplicate assets in Lansweeper.
Both assets are given the same specifications, such as the same MAC and serial number.
The scan engine has full permissions to retrieve the data from the device.
The option "the windows renaming detection" and merge windows computers based on serial en model only is activated in Lansweeper.
How can we prevent duplicate assets from being created after changing the assetname?
