Knowledgebase Article Formatting

I have tried different browsers but no matter what I do, formatting is often inconsistent using the editor. I can set a font type and size for an entire article and end up with some words the wrong size, but not all and some in different fonts, but again not all. Does anyone have any tips on using the editor to prevent such issues? We do often copy/paste from older Word docs to create articles based on existing content so I'm not sure if that is part of the issue or not.

Use an online editor maybe?

I generally use that one when I create tables and such, plus since LS doesn't use HTML5 yet I have to dig deep into my own personal KB for inline css and the like.
