Hi,
we want to track the software licenses of Apple Devices, too.
For instance, while i can search for "VMWARE Fusion" and get the Macs with it installed, it is absent from the "Add new Software" - Field under Software tracking.
What am i doing wrong?

This is not currently supported unfortunately. The license compliance module only considers software which was scanned on Windows computers. We are planning to increase the functionality of this module in the near future, but that still is going to take some time. You might be able to achieve your goal through custom reports which list or count software installations you are interested in from Apple Mac computers.
