lsremote.exe causes NTVDM illegal instruction

Hi,

We have recently started using lansweeper. From the beginning, I have never been able to get the remote control feature to work. If I try using IE11 (Version 11.0.9600.16428), lsremote crashes with the following error:-

\\speedy\lansweeper$\lsremote.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered as illegal instruction.
Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

If I try using Chrome (Version 35.0.1916.114), I get a console window with a flashing cursor but nothing happens.

My PC is running Windows 7 Pro SP1

Has anyone else experienced this problem and managed to fix it?

Many Thanks. Downloading the latest version of lsremote.exe has fixed the problem.

Most likely the exe is corrupt, you can download the latest version from here:
