Has anyone had any success with writing a policy for SELinux that works ? I have a working one for my RedHat 7.x systems and even some pre 8.1, 8.2 systems, but for some reason it won't work on RedHat 8.5.
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/sudo from map access on the file /usr/bin/sudo.
***** Plugin catchall_boolean (89.3 confidence) suggests ******************
If you want to allow domain to can mmap files
Then you must tell SELinux about this by enabling the 'domain_can_mmap_files' boolean.
Do
setsebool -P domain_can_mmap_files 1
***** Plugin catchall (11.6 confidence) suggests **************************
If you believe that sudo should be allowed map access on the sudo file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c 'sudo' --raw | audit2allow -M my-sudo
# semodule -X 300 -i my-sudo.pp
Additional Information:
Source Context system_u:system_r:init_t:s0

Hey Keimond,
i also have the same issues with Redhat 8!
I contacted the Lansweeper Support multiple times to ask for a proper solution now they created two Tickets.
LAN-12405
SELinux with LSAgent causes RHEL8 Systems to freeze.
&
LAN-8203
SELinux causes the LSAgent to fail on RHEL8 Systems.
Sadly there is still no update 😞
