Engaged Sweeper
Hello,

it would be great to discover hardware network phones, for example Polycom CX and HP 4110/4120.

Even if they don't have an admin interface, at least, we will have the knowledge of their existance, number, MAC-adresses (from which we can know their producers), connection to specified ports of network switches.

If those phones are USB-connected to PCs, then we will be able to find even more from the PC's OS.

Thanks.

Network phones will be automatically scanned if they support one of the protocols mentioned in this article.
Devices which don't support one of these could either by scanned by enabling 'Save Ping IP' for the IP Range they are in or by importing them to your database using the asset import feature.

The most detailed information will be scanned from SNMP but not all network phones support SNMP. You will need to check your device documentation to verify this. If your phones do not support SNMP, Lansweeper will only be able to detect the MAC Address if your phones are in the same subnet as your Lansweeper server.
