I have a linux VM setup as a VMware vCenter Appliance that I would like to scan in as a Linux machine. Unfortunately, Lansweeper keeps trying to scan it in as a VMware server, because it is indeed the vCenter box, however I am monitoring my VM hosts in Lansweeper by scanning each host individually. How can I force Lansweeper to scan this device in as Linux and NOT a VMware server? When it tries to scan, I get the error below:
Errors found while scanning:
No Vmware credentials defined.
I have already tested using the devicetester tool and confirmed that entering the SSH credentials it is able to scan the device using those credentials.

Best thing to do when you have questions or comments regarding unreleased Lansweeper versions is either send something to support@lansweeper.com or beta@lansweeper.com
Well at the time I wasn't using an unreleased version 🙂 I was on 6.X and trying to scan the actaul VCenter server. Now that I am on 7.0, I am still experiencing issues scanning VCenter! But, now I will send an email to support instead 🙂
