where to go after editing an asset?

I'm just trying to get my lansweeper set up and I need to make edits to many assets for custom fields, location, etc. The problem is that after I make an edit, I am taken back to the the asset detail page, rather than the list I was orginally at.

Here is the scenario. First, I look at some kind of list view - it might be a report, or dynamic asset group, or static group, or IP location. The url is going to be report.aspx. In that list, I click the hostname, then click edit, make the changes I need, and then I am taken back to the detail page of the asset (asset.aspx), but I really want to be back on the list page (report.aspx) that I was at 2 screens ago. If I hit the back button, when I get to the edit form, I get a pop up asking me if I want to leave the page.

Proposed solution:

1) Open the list you want to change.
2) CTRL+click on the item you want to change (open in new tab)
3) Make the changes.
4) Close tab.
