Following the trial period, you'll have the flexibility to stick with your current Lansweeper type or transition to a different installation type that aligns more closely with your evolving requirements. Trial overview
Lansweeper Sites
If you’re interested in the web-based capabilities of Lansweeper, you’ll find that Lansweeper Sites best suits your needs. The Lansweeper Sites trial is also known as the Cloud-first trial.
In a Cloud-first scenario, your Lansweeper license is managed and granted from the cloud. A license key is no longer required to manage your subscription, and the license is completely managed from your Lansweeper Site.
Lansweeper On-prem
If you’re interested in the on-premise capabilities of Lansweeper, you’ll find that Lansweeper On-prem best suits your needs.
In a local on-premise scenario, you will need to enter a Lansweeper license key in the local web console when installing Lansweeper On-prem. To request a Lansweeper On-prem trial key, go to Start Your Lansweeper On-prem Trial.
After the trial
If you’re nearing the end of your trial period, and you’re happy with Lansweeper, you can purchase a Lansweeper license.

Changing to a different Lansweeper type
Should your current Lansweeper type not fulfill your needs, or if you’re interested in experiencing what’s on the other side, you can always try a different Lansweeper trial.
- If you originally trialled Lansweeper Sites, but would like to move to Lansweeper On-prem, you can request a trial license key via the On-prem trial form.
- If you originally trialled Lansweeper On-prem, but would like to move to Lansweeper Sites, go to http://app.lansweeper.com/try to start your Cloud-first trial.
