Solution

Lansweeper Sites is our SaaS platform, but the right setup depends on your needs. Some types of scanning still require on-premises interaction, such as a sensor or agent.

If you want a fully cloud-hosted setup, the best option is IT Agent or IT Agent Portable. These work on Windows, Debian- and RHEL-based Linux, and macOS. The IT Agent Discovery feature collects details from a single device and sends them straight to your Lansweeper Site. It replaces LsAgent, which had the same purpose but required a Lansweeper Classic installation to relay data.

If you prefer a cloud platform with broader discovery and local network management, Network Discovery with sensors is the better fit. Sensors scan your entire IT and OT environment, retrieving detailed asset information through remote discovery. This approach improves on and replaces both Lansweeper On-premises (Classic).
