Lansweeper Tech Support
Solution

When Lansweeper scans a Windows computer, it automatically collects software details from Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features). However, since this data is limited for Microsoft SQL Server, Lansweeper also pulls additional SQL Server information through Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

If you don’t see SQL Server data under Software > SQL Server Information in Lansweeper, it’s likely that the WMI provider storing this data is missing or needs to be recompiled. You can find step-by-step instructions here:
👉 SQL Server information not scanned – Troubleshooting guide

To generate a full report of all databases across your servers, you can use our free Database Scanner tool, which supports:

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • PostgreSQL

  • SQLite

  • MySQL

  • MariaDB

  • Oracle

  • ElasticSearch

  • MongoDB

🔗 Download the Database Scanner here

Please note: at this time, it is not possible to import the results from Database Scanner into Lansweeper On-Premises (Classic) or Lansweeper Sites (Cloud). Also, since this is a free tool, technical support is not included.
