When Lansweeper scans a Windows computer, it automatically collects software details from Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features). However, since this data is limited for Microsoft SQL Server, Lansweeper also pulls additional SQL Server information through Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
If you don’t see SQL Server data under Software > SQL Server Information in Lansweeper, it’s likely that the WMI provider storing this data is missing or needs to be recompiled. You can find step-by-step instructions here:
