Active Scanning IP Range Exclusion

We have some domain member laptops we would like to exclude from Active scanning while they are connected via VPN. We do want them to be scanned when they are connected via LAN. Firewalling will prevent scanning, but will show the laptop in error. It would be preferable that Lansweeper did not attempt to scan them while not on the LAN.

You cannot exclude IP ranges from Active Scanning. You can only limit Active Scanning by submitting OU or site filters. (These filters dictate what WILL be scanned, not what won't be scanned.)

This is an old post, but I am looking for the exact same resolution. Anyone have ideas on how to accomplish it?
