I have found myself carrying my Phablet or a Tablet around the factory more and more now and leaving my big heavy laptop bag behind ... I use the Microsoft RDP app and connect to my PC to use Lansweeper when out and about but really an app sized for my screen would be more appropriate, and I'm sure, easier to use.

I use my Samsung Note 3 and my Surface RT to access Lansweeper using the Chrome mobile browser all the time. If your Wifi allows you to access the corporate network, you can either use the DNS name or the IP address (depending on Wifi restrictions) in the following format: http://servername:portnumber or http://ipaddress:portnumber.

When it prompts for credentials, just enter in your username and password in the following format: username only (no DOMAIN\username or username@domain.com) and then your domain password. This will sign you into the Lansweeper portal.

You cannot do a lot of items on the mobile device, but at least you can look up items or even look up reports and rescan assets. A lot of the custom actions will not work since you have to modify the browser settings and I have not taken the time to get that far into it since I usually always have my laptop close by.

Android devices are not on domain, and since LS uses domain creds to grant access I really cant see how your currently doing this from a ipad or android tablet. How do you get it to prompt for credentials? I've tried and tried on my android device and I always get 401 Unauthorized.

What am I doing wrong?
