How can we assign specific assets to certain users?

We don't want all the users to view all the assets.

We also need this feature, it would be so helpful for us to manage all the users permissions for specific asset grooups.

Is there any plans to implement this in the near feature?

Unfortunately, this feature won't be implemented in the near future. Implementing a completely new permission system require extensive database modifications and code refactoring.

Currently it is not possible to select which user has access to which assets. Either a user has access to view all assets or none. Splitting up the asset permissions is already on our customer wishlist and I've added your topic to the list of users requesting this feature.
