Is it possible to extend the email alert functionality to be able to send more than reports and error alerts?

A custom field where we can enter whatever (in html would also be nice ) text we like but can be scheduled like a deployment (daily, weekly, monthly) e.g. we perform a separate whole network backup to be sent to our head office every 3 months, if this could come from a basic recurring task to our ICT team email group/helpdesk which one of our team could then respond to and complete. It then also gives accountability as if we can see something hasn't been done we know exactly who it was.
We then also have 1 day a week where the on call team member tidies up the office or once a month checks the backup air-con

I don't think there's built-in functionality at the moment to generate email notifications for calendar events. I would recommend sending this feature request and your release date question to support@lansweeper.com and including "beta" in the title of your message. Beta questions are mostly being answered by our development team for now, and via email.

Thanks for the response.

Could the notifications also come as emails, to make it a bit more obvious instead of just a single tab in a browser among many open programs at once? Just helps to make it really clear the task needs to be done and reminds the agent to do the tasks in case it takes a while to check the helpdesk as sometimes it does due to other distractions.

Also do you know when Lansweeper 6 will be released, even a potential release date?

Perhaps an even better option would be the calendar in our Lansweeper 6.0 help desk beta. It allows you to set up recurring events, which team members will automatically be notified of through help desk notifications. The events can be linked to a ticket as well, where users can post updates. If you are interested in Lansweeper 6.0, just send a quick email to support@lansweeper.com and include "beta" in the title of your message. We will send you a download link for the beta and all necessary details.
