Currently dashboards are either private or global, but we would like to make role based dashboards, providing each set of user groups (servicedesk, server team,...) their specific dashboard with custom widgets tailored to fit their needs.

I honestly don't care how they do it, but rather only care that they probably ought to do it somehow.

That's up to them...

I personally would prefer 'User Roles' mapping, because using 'Teams' is used within the Helpdesk area, which not all customers are using actively.

I also like this idea, seems like the easiest path would be to simply tie it to "Teams..." which is an already existing permissions function...

So instead of only a "Global" checkbox...

You'd also have a few more check boxes, depending on what Teams you have...
- IT Support
- IT Purchasing
- IT Management

To name a few of the generic pre-populated Teams...

I have added your request to this feature and marked this forum post as well to add weight to it. Do note, that I'm unable to provide you with an estimated release date for when this might be implemented in a future Lansweeper release.
