Hi,

unless I am missing it, any software reports don't seem to include Mac installed software.

I can list the software if I go to assets, select a mac then click software, but I need that included on a full report along with all other installed software.

Is there any way to get a complete report of all software whether Mac or PC?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ian

Most software reports only include Windows software as Mac and Linux software are stored in separate database tables. Combining these tables requires you to write UNION queries, which are time-consuming to create. We don't usually provide support for creating UNION queries, but I did send a sample query to a customer recently, which you can find below. It lists installed software of Windows, Mac and Linux computers. You can add this report to your installation by following these instructions.
Select Top 1000000 tblAssets.AssetID,
tblAssets.AssetName,
tblAssets.Domain,
tsysAssetTypes.AssetTypename,
tsysAssetTypes.AssetTypeIcon10 As icon,

tblAssets.IPAddress,
tblAssets.Description,
tblAssets.Firstseen,
tblAssets.Lastseen,
tblAssets.Lasttried,
tblSoftwareUni.softwareName As Software,
tblSoftware.softwareVersion As Version,
tblSoftwareUni.SoftwarePublisher As Publisher
From tblAssets
Inner Join tblAssetCustom On tblAssets.AssetID = tblAssetCustom.AssetID
Inner Join tsysAssetTypes On tsysAssetTypes.AssetType = tblAssets.Assettype
Inner Join tblSoftware On tblAssets.AssetID = tblSoftware.AssetID
Inner Join tblSoftwareUni On tblSoftwareUni.SoftID = tblSoftware.softID

In fact, I could live with a separate report if that's easier - the current "Software: Apple software" report just lists apple software that is installed on PC's.
