I work on a university where we have a lot of student computer rooms. I would like to be able to see if any computer does not have program X or if one program have the wrong version than the other.
I think it should be possible to add computers to a "computer group", and then add programs to a software group. Then assign checks for the software group on the computer group. If a program is missing or have the wrong version, it should be easy to see what computer and what software.
This would help us a lot!

You can manually build a report for this under Reports\Create New Report. A sample report that lists machines missing a specific software package can be found here.
