Office Hotfix

I need a report to list the Office Hotfix. Is there any table that contains the office updates/hotfix as Windows?

Lansweeper doesn't specifically scan hotfixes of Windows components like Microsoft Office. Lansweeper pulls update/hotfix information from the Win32_QuickFixEngineering WMI class on Windows computers and this class only stores system-wide updates. We would therefore not expect you to find Office or other updates in the tblQuickFixEngineering tables in the Lansweepeer database. Scanning hotfix data for Microsoft Office has been asked by our customers before and is currently on our customer wish list. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with an estimated release date for this.

As a workaround, however, you could try to report on scanned software information and look at the version numbers of Microsoft Office as they are listed in Add/Remove programs on your computers. You can find a sample custom report below which will provide you with the version number of Microsoft Office on your Windows assets. Instructions for adding this report to your Lansweeper installation can be found here. If you are interested in building or modifying reports, we do recommend:

• Reviewing some SQL tutorials, as the Lansweeper report builder is a standard SQL editor. If you know SQL, you know how to build Lansweeper reports as well. This seems like a good tutorial.

• Making use of our database dictionary, which explains in great detail what each database table and field stores. More information on the dictionary can be found here.
