This page provides instructions on how to use Lansweeper to scan specific files on Linux computers for properties such as version, company, size, and creation date.
Lansweeper allows you to scan specific files on your Linux computers. Custom file scanning retrieves various properties (version, company, size, creation date, last accessed date and last modified date) of a specific file.
This is useful to detect packages that are not installed by the Linux package manager. If you submit “/opt/sophos-spl/base/VERSION.ini” for file scanning for instance, Lansweeper will scan the file and report whether or not Sophos AV has been installed.
