Data transiting to Europe

As part of hosting your Lansweeper Site and data in the United States, some data is still transited to Europe, including:

• Credential-free Device Recognition
• Software normalization

Credential-free Device Recognition

As part of the Credential-free Device Recognition (CDR) process, enriched information on discovered assets and all the fingerprint data found by our network scanner is sent to our assets' enrichment service in Europe. There, the data is enriched and sent back to your Lansweeper Site (in your data hosting region), where it is stored.

If you use our Lansweeper On-premises agent and are not interested in the Credential-free Device Recognition (CDR) feature, you can disable it from the local web console.

Software normalization

Data related to installed software also transits to Europe to be normalized.

Software normalization can not be disabled.
