The “Asset is not enabled” message in your LsAgent log indicates that the asset is currently disabled in your Lansweeper installation.
WARN InternalCommunicationSender: Asset is not enabled
1) How to check if an asset is enabled
Go to Assets > LsAgent Assets in your Lansweeper web console. This page lists all LsAgent assets and shows whether each one is enabled or disabled.
2) How to enable an asset
- Navigate to Assets > LsAgent Assets.
- Select the relevant asset.
- Click Enable on the left-hand side.
- Wait for the LsAgent client to communicate with the Lansweeper server. By default, this occurs once per day.
If the asset is missing from the list, check that the LsAgent client is correctly linked to your installation and that the asset ID matches (check the LsAgent ini file on the client asset).
3) Why freshly installed LsAgent clients are not always enabled automatically
When LsAgent reconnects, Lansweeper confirms the existing asset status on the server. If that asset was previously disabled, it remains disabled until manually re-enabled. This prevents unintentional data changes or reactivation of intentionally disabled assets.
For more details, you can review this article: https://community.lansweeper.com/t5/scanning-your-network/introduction-to-lsagent-for-windows-linux-...
After enabling the asset, please verify that the LsAgent client configuration and relay settings point to the correct Lansweeper server (check the LsAgent ini file on the client asset), then allow time for the next sync cycle.
