Question
When using LsPush for scanning, why are Microsoft Store apps not appearing in the software list?
Answer
Microsoft Store app scanning is not supported by LsPush, as it is a legacy scanning method, and this functionality was never implemented. If collecting Microsoft Store app data is required, we recommend using LsAgent instead, as it provides broader and more modern application discovery capabilities.
LsAgent is a lightweight application that can be installed on Windows, Mac, and Linux devices. LsAgent gathers data from the asset locally, without requiring credentials (similar to LsPush), and then sends this data back to your Lansweeper installation either directly or via the Lansweeper cloud-hosted relay service.
LsAgent is especially useful for environments where assets are not always on the same network as the Lansweeper scanning server, such as remote work setups.
