I started with the freebee version of lansweeper and added the license into it last week. I can't seem to get either the "built in premium" actions or the custom actions to work.

I'm using Firefox 3.5 beta with the lansweeper plugin installed.

1.) How do I get the actions to work
2.) How do I get the custom actions to work
3.) How do I get them to work from Firefox 3.5 beta?

I will try with IE 8 and report back.

OK, I now have Internet Explorer working and all the plugin's work if I use IE. The problem was permission's within IE. I had to radically alter them and make IE extremly open to work with the custom actions.

But I still am having a problem with FireFox.

This thread can be closed, I'll caryon with the FireFox issue in the thread that is dealing with it.

I did originally post in this thread.

I have created a separate post:

Yes I get that error in a IE popup. I've already said that previously. I've also followed that link and setup IE to allow the active to run. I said that already to - in this forum. In fact I've setup both the intranet and safe sites list to allow active to run as per that document.

I still get the error and firefox still does nothing when I click the links...

Do you get "Error: Automation server can't create object" in a popup box in IE?

I'm already running 3.5.1.28957, are you telling me there is yet another upgrade?

I just checked, there does not appear to be another upgrade just 3.5.1 which is what I'm running.

Please upgrade to 3.5.1 (released today)
It will give a better error description.

Thank you I now have the premium tools installed in the same location as the custom.

I still cannot make either FF or IE work.

In Firefox nothing happens when I click a link in the action sections. Unless it is an action that requires confirmation. The confirmation dialog box opens, I click yes and then nothing...

In IE I still get the "Error: Automation server can't create object" error. I've added my server to the trusted sites and set the "initiatize and script ActiveX control not marked as safe" to prompt for both the Intranet and Safe sites section.

What do I do now?

Yes, you should have received them on your purchase.
You can also download them from http://www.lansweeper.com/premiumtools.aspx

Yes I have. I have followed the instructions in the Install and Configure pdf file. I am able to manually use the custom action exe's from a command line but IE and FF can't seem to launch them.

There are no spaces in any of the paths involved.

I'm wondering about the Premium version of actions though. I can't seem to find them... I started with the freeware version of lansweeper and just added the license to that. It identifies itself as premium now but doesn't seem to be giving me access to the premium action tools. Do I have to download and install them separately?
