I would like to know if it is possible to restrict scanning by AD group membership of computers.

This would be very helpful for our organization, because we have several laptops and other machines that are not very often connected. We also have alot of other machines that should not be included in the lansweeper inventory lists.

As it is now, we cannot active scanning of active directory because I cannot figure out if it is possible to setup some sort of filter either for OU or group membership.

This is implemented in our next version 3.5 : you can test the beta from

You will be able to enter several adsi paths.
All computers in these adsi paths will be scanned.

Example:
dc=mydomain,dc=local
ou=computers,dc=anotherdomain,dc=local

That sounds very promising if that will be the same for one or more child domain.
